Kahlí Romano, PhD
Co-Founder and Chief Experience Officer
Kahlí brings a unique lens to the needs of teachers and the students they serve, from her storied career of research and evaluation to her practical experience as a general-ed classroom teacher. As Chief Experience Officer, Kahlí ensures that our services are intuitive, clear, and accessible to everyone we serve, from teachers and their students to campus and district leadership.
Prior to co-founding Constructed Learning, Kahlí collaborated with Guan Saw, PhD as a postdoctoral researcher at Claremont Graduate University, where she analyzed the impact of mentoring for underrepresented youth in STEM programs. She has also worked in evaluation of after-school programs in their effectiveness, equity, and accessibility.
Before she began her research career, Kahlí served as a high-school Science teacher at a Title I school in San Antonio, TX, where she consistently outperformed the district in state STAAR testing and was nominated Teacher of the Year.
Kahlí holds a PhD in Applied Demography from the University of Texas at San Antonio and a Masters’ of Sociology from the University of Bristol.
